This is an excellent example of a Rolex Double Red Sea Dweller reference 1665 from 1974. The original Mark IV dial is pristine. No chips around the edges and all original cream colored lume. The case is nice and thick with normal and natural wear from age. The original bezel has a nice fade to it and has a missing pearl. This watch comes on a heavy flip lock oyster Rolex band.

1967 saw the launch of the Oyster Perpetual Sea-Dweller, waterproof to a depth of 610 metres. To meet the needs of professional deep-sea divers, the case was equipped with a helium escape valve so that, during long decompression phases in hyperbaric chambers, the helium from the gas mixtures used could be released without risking damage to the watch.
