18K White gold Day Date ref. 18039 with wood dial. A true love-at-first-sight piece. The striking contrast between the white gold case and the light-toned wood dial gives this Day-Date an exceptionally elegant and distinctive presence. Produced in 1988, this watch shows minimal signs of use. The case remains thick and sharp, likely unpolished. The President bracelet shows minimal stretch, and the dial is in stunning condition, perfectly complemented by matching tritium hands. Powered by the self-winding Caliber 3055 movement. Accompanied by original papers stamped by an official Asian retailer. A truly fantastic collector's piece.

THE DAY-DATE 1956

In 1956, the Oyster Perpetual Day-Date made its debut. Available only in 18 ct gold or platinum, it was the first wristwatch to display the date and day of the week spelt out in full in a window on the dial. With the President bracelet, originally created specially for it, the Day-Date continues to be the watch par excellence of influential people.
