ROLEX OVETTO STEEL/GOLD REF. 3065 The Rolex Bubbleback is a vintage watch model introduced in the 1940s, characterized by its distinctive rounded caseback, which gives the watch its nickname. The Bubbleback case was an innovative design by Rolex, as it allowed for a larger movement to fit inside a more compact case, resulting in a thinner and more comfortable watch on the wrist. The Rolex Bubbleback watches were powered by self-winding mechanical movements, and they were known for their reliability and durability. The Rolex Bubbleback watches were produced with various references over the years which differed for material used and case shape. The present Steel/Gold Rolex Bubbleback 3065 is an excellent example of this rare reference, manufactured by Rolex in the early 1940s. The watch's lug design features a single horizontal bar that attaches the case to the bracelet. The overall condition of the watch is very good, considering its age.
