Year 1985   Serial 7,62xxxx   Dial Original black Big Red dial is in perfect condition with all the 11 fat luminous dots perfectly intact, Big Red Daytona is very intense, the hands are original and match perfectly.   Movement Rolex 727 with serial number   Case Amazing ultra sharp original case has been only very lightly detailed in the past, the lugs retain their original edges, shape and size. Original crown, glass and pushers. Bezel and case show some very light signs of wear.   Bracelet Comes on its original Rolex heavy oyster bracelet 78350/571 with minimal stretch. 13 links total. The clasp is stamped with a H date code.   Condition Killer !!!!!   Accessories Original 6265 inner and outer box, Originall paper, Daytona booklet, Your Oyster booklets, Dealer booklet, 1985 calendar.   Comments Black Big Red Daytona with steel bezel is a true classic and cool comb, this one is just perfect and ready to get a new home. This is a great watch to wear on a daily basis. It has become quite difficult to find truly nice daytonas. In 100% original and perfect condition, this 6265 Big Red Daytona will make you feel like your whole world has been turned upside down.

Always has the Daytona model been attached to motor racing, at first Rolex called their new Cosmograph the “Le Mans” and little later to “Daytona” when Rolex started to sponsor the well known U.S. speedway.
Cosmograph: a name that was to be the forerunner of great fortune. Actually, the choice of the name proved to be neither easy nor expected. Whilst Rolex on the one hand flirted with the car-racing world, on the other hand it could not remain unaware of the vast media attention, which at that time was surrounding the conquest of outer space.
