Description

Platinum Vignette       - Vignette dials were made with the same lacquer which the Stella dials are made with. To obtain the degrade finish on the dial, a special centrifugal technique was used to achieve a soft fading of the color from a vibrant midnight blue color in the center of the dial and a almost black color at the edges. This very example from 1991 is a stunner and features the double quick set date movement. The diamonds are like beautiful accents on the dial and enhance the rich beauty of it. Further this 18346 reference comes in Platinum and is fitted with a factory diamond bezel, much rarer than the yellow or white gold version. This stunning watch is in overall excellent condition with a flawless dial and great case retaining the factory finishing.

THE DAY-DATE 1956

In 1956, the Oyster Perpetual Day-Date made its debut. Available only in 18 ct gold or platinum, it was the first wristwatch to display the date and day of the week spelt out in full in a window on the dial. With the President bracelet, originally created specially for it, the Day-Date continues to be the watch par excellence of influential people.

LEADERSHIP

Rolex watches have long been associated with those who have, over time, guided the destiny of the world. No matter their vision, their domain of excellence, or their achievements, the one thing these exceptional men and women have in common is often their watch: the Day-Date.
