Description
Iconic since 1945 - Datejusts have been very soft on the market for a very long time but with an increased demand for a while now, interesting dial versions are not that easy to hunt anymore, they disappear shortly after they come up. One dial we have always liked is the Vignette dial. The transition from the midnight blue in the center to the black on the edge is mesmerizing and the aesthetics are enhanced with the diamond indexes. This very example is in stainless steel with a white gold bezel and dates back to 1991. It is preserved in excellent overall condition and always a stunner on the wrist. We would say, one of the most exciting Datejust configurations out there.

Flawless Blue Vignette Stella Diamond Dial with original Tritium dots and hands
The year 1945 saw the birth of the Datejust, the first self‑winding wrist chronometer to indicate the date in a window on the dial. A watch of great distinction, the Datejust was equipped with a Jubilee bracelet created specially for it and a fluted bezel, making it immediately recognisable as a Rolex. It is the pillar of the Oyster collection. Initially for men, it became available in various models for women in the course of the following decade.
