Description

UAE Armed Forces The UAE in its rich history has, in the past, commissioned a good number of custom order dials for watches that had been purchased with the purpose of being gifted to Army Officials, Delegates, and guests of state. There are Air Force Dials, MOD Dials, and among many others there is the UAE Armed Forces dial which in our opinion is one of the most beautiful logo dials issued for the UAE. The dial shows a yellow Eagle with 7 stars above the Eagle's head, which symbolize the 7 Emirates of the UAE. The logo is decorated with green leaves forming around the Eagle's wings. All in all the logo is placed around and below the center post of the dial. The UAE Armed Forces logo on a Day Date was only made in four colors, champagne, silver, brown and a very rare white version. The dial is housed in a fat and healthy, well proportioned 18038 case that comes on a period correct President bracelet in very good condition. Here's a rare opportunity to acquire a piece of UAE History. The UAE Commemorative Watches have a huge followership and collectors value them a lot, not only because of their rarity but also because of their beauty. We don't see many of these around anymore and are thrilled to offer this very example for sale.

THE DAY-DATEĀ 1956

In 1956, the Oyster Perpetual Day-Date made its debut. Available only in 18 ct gold or platinum, it was the first wristwatch to display the date and day of the week spelt out in full in a window on the dial. With the President bracelet, originally created specially for it, the Day-Date continues to be the watch par excellence of influential people.

LEADERSHIP

Rolex watches have long been associated with those who have, over time, guided the destiny of the world. No matter their vision, their domain of excellence, or their achievements, the one thing these exceptional men and women have in common is often their watch: the Day-Date.
