Description

Unpolished       - There is no more iconic watch in our minds than the 5513 Submariner, a reference that had a production run for almost 30 years and has more Rolex DNA than any other model from the brand. We have here a stunning example from 1981 bearing an unpolished case beautifully showing the crisp factory finishing and bevels to die for. The MK4 dial is sheer flawless and we would say better than when new because its vibrant Vanilla patina dna original hands. The bezel is sharp when you run your fingers over it and speaks for itself. Everything is good on this watch and it is tough to find such a quality 5513 on the market. We are happy to pass it on to the next owner, sometimes all you need is a 5513.

The Rolex Submariner

The Rolex Submariner is without a doubt one of the most successful Rolex models in history. Not only because it more than aptly served its purpose as diver’s watch, although I am pretty sure only a small number of Submariners has ever seen a spat of water. Its appearance in several James Bond movies certainly helped as well. If you omit functionality and marketing, the Submariner success is mainly due to its elegance as a timeless dress watch. It’s just one of those watches you keep looking at, regardless of wanting to know the time of day. The Submariner was launched in 1953 and officially presented at the Basel Fair in 1954.
