Stella on Fire - When we speak about a Stella dial then immediately our mind goes Tuttifrutti, picturing exotic colors and a smile on our face. The introduction of colorful hard enamel in the 70s was a bold move by Rolex, something we wouldn't necessarily expect from the brand. The name Stella dial was not just made up by collectors but derived from the company who made the lacquer for these, Stella SA. These dials have always been rare but only recently gained more attraction by seasoned collectors and people who just love beautiful watches. Offered here is a absolute pristine example of a Rolex Day Date 18038 with a Fire Red Stella dial. The color on this one is superb, very vibrant in combination with the golden print, which is much rarer than black print. The gilt print is very prominent and and goes very well with the original creamy lumes which are also matching the hands. The case and bracelet are mint, not showing much wear from age and still retain the beautiful factory finishing. All in all this is a top quality watch and looks like fire on the wrist. To add cream on top, this watch comes with a full links bracelet and in a superb super full set including original box, punched certificate, booklets, Service invoices and Rolex wallet. | Case | Excellent and mint 18K case that has possibly polished lightly if at all. The lugs remain straight and even with beautiful edges not showing much wear from age. Numbers between the lugs are crisp and fully intact. The fluted bezel is also in excellent condition |

The lumes on the dial are perfect and have taken on a yellowish-creamy color. The hands are perfectly matching the lume on the dial. |
