Description

The GMT Master offered here has just the right patina you would like to see on a 1675. The absolute flawless MK2 dial has a great depth accentuated by the dark and colored lume plots. The patina on this dial is just perfectly balanced and gives the watch a great character. The overall condition of the watch is very appealing with a sharp and fat case and a beautifully aged Pepsi insert. This will make a great appearance on the wrist.

Case Very good case that has been polished in the past but remains thick and strong. The lugs are straight and even, numbers between the lugs are clear and visible. The red back Pepsi insert has faded to a great color combination
Bracelet / Strap Very good folded 7836 Oyster bracelet with 280 Ends has little stretch from age.The bracelet has a later clasp.
Dial Excellent and flawless MK2 dial with very strong and consistent 'Sand' patina matching the hands. The surface is free of any kind of marks, spots or blemishes.

THE GMT-MASTER 1955

The GMT-Master was developed to meet the specific needs of airline pilots. It became the official watch of several airlines, among them the famous Pan American World Airways, better known as Pan Am. Its most distinguishing visual feature was the two-tone bezel which marked daytime from nighttime hours.
