Description

Full Gloss       - We don't exaggerate if we say this 1016 Explorer is a bomb on the wrist. With a 1.6m serial this is among the short production with Zinc Zulfide lumes produced for about 2-3 years. The fact that all luminous material glows up when exposed to UV light gets this close to the flair of an early Radium dial. The surface of the dial is mirror glossy showing only minor wear from age.  The gilt graphics are vibrant and contract amazingly with the black dial. The luminous material is original with matching hands. For those who are after a full glossy Gilt dial, this is a great catch and it looks so good on the wrist

These watches were intended for professional activities, such as deep-sea diving, aviation, mountain climbing and scientific exploration. The watches generated lasting enthusiasm and became known as the watches of achievers.
