Description
Patek Philippe sector dial time only with original box and papers, made in 1923 and sold in 1925. In the history of 20th century dial making, it is arguable that sector dials are the most aesthetically pleasing and elegantly balanced dials of the era. The Deco-inspired minimalism literally transcends time and one can easily imagine Jay Gatsby with this watch in hand on his quixotic quest to reclaim a long-lost love. This watch is very well preserved and one has to wonder who “PC” was with his name monogrammed on the case back. The story of this watch is not yet over and the new owner will treasure this for years and maybe decades as it becomes a true centenarian in the coming years.
