Patek Philippe 18k Yellow Gold Ref. 865J Hunting Case Pocket Watch, made circa 1990 The ref. 865 was produced from 1969 until the early 1990s. A homage to the tradition of hunting case watches, this reference is rich in a late 19th-century aesthetic. With a thick and heavy four-piece case, the ref. 865 was the base reference for a multitude of examples that featured the art of hand engraving and miniature enamel. This particular example features a plain case with a discreet monogram, hand engraved on the inner case lid. The watch has recently returned from Patek Philippe, Geneva where it received an overhaul and was cleaned. The case still retains its service sticker and is accompanied by its service box.
