Rolex 6263 Big Red Daytona Cream Dial

CREAAAAAM

€ ON REQUEST   Year 1981   Serial 6,29xxxx   Dial Original silver big red Daytona dial as turn to cream,the dial is perfect condition with no damage, some partial disintegration of 3 and 9 o’clock luminous dot. The hands are original as well and match perfectly. Movement Rolex 727 with serial number   Case Excellent original case has been lightly buffed in the past. However, the lugs remain thick and even with sharp edges. Original crown, domed glass and Mk2 pushers. The Mk3 bezel is in perfect condition aswell.     Bracelet Comes on its Rolex heavy oyster bracelet 78350/571 with minimal stretch. F code(1981) stamped on the clasp.   Condition PERFECT !!!!   Accessories None   Comments This is a great watch to wear on a daily basis, as perhaps nothing else better represents the DNA of Rolex, an excellent example of the always classic creamy big red Daytona.

Birth of a Horological Icon Timepiece  The myth around the iconic Rolex Daytona has spread around the world recent years. Always has the Daytona model been attached to motor racing, at first Rolex called their new Cosmograph the “Le Mans” and little later to “Daytona” when Rolex started to sponsor the well known U.S. speedway.
Cosmograph: a name that was to be the forerunner of great fortune. Actually, the choice of the name proved to be neither easy nor expected. Whilst Rolex on the one hand flirted with the car-racing world, on the other hand it could not remain unaware of the vast media attention, which at that time was surrounding the conquest of outer space.
