The case is thick and sharp and the stunning blue Lapis dial is in excellent condition. The deep blue shimmers in the light and looks fantastic with the yellow gold case. There is a small inclusion off the top left corner of the Day display; besides that the dial is in wonderful, flawless condition.

In 1956, the Oyster Perpetual Day-Date made its debut. Available only in 18 ct gold or platinum, it was the first wristwatch to display the date and day of the week spelt out in full in a window on the dial.
