King Coral       - Rolex hasn't left a stone unturned when it comes to the selection of materials for their dials which in some cases can be described as 'exotic'. We have here a stunning example of a Rolex Day Date 18338 with a uber rare Coral dial. The orange color is mesmerizing while the surface is retaining its natural unique pattern. The dial graphics are crisp and fully intact with no fadings whatsoever, has a correct 'Swiss' designation with matching hands. The case is mint and not showing major wear from age, looking stunning with its factory set diamonds. But there is more to it, the watch is factory equipped with a rivited Oyster bracelet, something not seen much on Day Dates of this era and overall. The unsized and fully linked bracelet is in tight condition and preserved very well letting us assume this watch did not have much wrist time in its almost 30 years. The Coral dial is the grail of all stone dials being one of the rarest dials but without doubt the most sought after stone dial by Rolex. They rarely come up on the market and and we are beyond thrilled to offer this probably best example of a Coral dial Day Date for sale in a beautiful full set with the papers explicitly mentioning the Coral dial and Oyster bracelet. It doesn't get better than this, it doesn't.

In 1956, the Oyster Perpetual Day-Date made its debut. Available only in 18 ct gold or platinum, it was the first wristwatch to display the date and day of the week spelt out in full in a window on the dial. With the President bracelet, originally created specially for it, the Day-Date continues to be the watch par excellence of influential people.

Rolex watches have long been associated with those who have, over time, guided the destiny of the world. No matter their vision, their domain of excellence, or their achievements, the one thing these exceptional men and women have in common is often their watch: the Day-Date.
