Description

Condition is Everything      -      On the hunt for Vintage Rolex, the elusive New old Stock seems to be the real deal, the best to obtain and the hardest to find. That is why we are thrilled and excited to offer this watch, a literally unworn Rolex Datejust reference 16014 in stainless steel and fitted with a fluted white gold bezel. This quickset reference Datejust is like farm fresh, unpolished, unworn and only shows a few light handling marks. The lugs still show the factory brushing, the bezel has its fire like the day it was born. The silver Stick dial is perfect not showing any flaws from age. The original luminous material is fully present on dial and hands and is matching perfectly. As if this was not enough, this watch comes in a full set with original punched, dated and stamped  Certificate from Hong Kong, the calendar, cardholder, hang tag and box, which has, over the time, lost its top. A beautiful collector's set for someone for whom the condition is the highest priority.

THE FIRST DATEJUST 1945

The year 1945 saw the birth of the Datejust, the first self‑winding wrist chronometer to indicate the date in a window on the dial. A watch of great distinction, the Datejust was equipped with a Jubilee bracelet created specially for it and a fluted bezel, making it immediately recognisable as a Rolex. It is the pillar of the Oyster collection. Initially for men, it became available in various models for women in the course of the following decade.
