Description

The King - Vintage Day Dates with Eastern Arabic dials have a very unique character. They reflect wealth and prosperity in the old days and makes you ask who owned the watch. Believe it or not, we are still asking this to ourselves. Looking at the configuration of the watch we assume it was made as special order for a Royal or a very very important person. It is safe to say that Vintage Day Dates with Arabic Hindi numerals on the dial are rare by numbers, not just by demand. The way the numerals are designed, how the calendar is indicated in Arabic language, its like a watch from One Thousand and One Nights, its magical. Further the condition of this very watch is stunning. Engraved cases are very sensitive to scratches, dents or other damages because they cannot be re-engraved by Rolex today, hence we are very fortunate to offer this watch in an incredibly unmolested condition. No compromises on this watch, everything is good on this watch, rarity and condition are on point. This factory Rolex Day Date ref.1806 in its uber rare configuration seems to be the ultimate example of a Middle Eastern watch.

THE DAY-DATEĀ 1956

In 1956, the Oyster Perpetual Day-Date made its debut. Available only in 18 ct gold or platinum, it was the first wristwatch to display the date and day of the week spelt out in full in a window on the dial. With the President bracelet, originally created specially for it, the Day-Date continues to be the watch par excellence of influential people.

LEADERSHIP

Rolex watches have long been associated with those who have, over time, guided the destiny of the world. No matter their vision, their domain of excellence, or their achievements, the one thing these exceptional men and women have in common is often their watch: the Day-Date.
