Description

The present watch is a beautiful and early example of the Rolex Day Date Ref.1802 from 1966. The 1802 reference is defined with the smooth bezel for a much sleeker look and is much rarer than the 1803 with the fluted bezel. This watch is so good in many ways. The original Wide Boy dial is a stunner. The visual effect of the wide markers on the silver dial is magical and catches your eye immediately. We are thrilled to offer this beautiful 1802 with the original box, punched Chronometer Bulletin, Dated Warranty booklet as well as with the rare El Day Date booklet. A Day Date doesn't always need a Stella, Stone or Diamond dial to be special, the Wide Boy is a good example for that.

THE DAY-DATEĀ 1956

In 1956, the Oyster Perpetual Day-Date made its debut. Available only in 18 ct gold or platinum, it was the first wristwatch to display the date and day of the week spelt out in full in a window on the dial. With the President bracelet, originally created specially for it, the Day-Date continues to be the watch par excellence of influential people.

LEADERSHIP

Rolex watches have long been associated with those who have, over time, guided the destiny of the world. No matter their vision, their domain of excellence, or their achievements, the one thing these exceptional men and women have in common is often their watch: the Day-Date.
