Description
This is a well loved example of the world’s first Annual Calendar combined with a moonphase aperture. When the ref. 5036/1 was released in 1999, it was a logical upgrade to the ref. 5035 Annual Calendar strap version. The addition of the moonphase gave the watch a whole new aesthetic and the bracelet was well received as one of the finest bracelet designs of the modern era. It is no coincidence that this bracelet inspired the design of today’s ref. 5960/1A in stainless steel.
